' ======== A  minister waited in line to have his car filled with gas just before a long  holiday weekend. It  seems as if everyone waits until the last minute to get ready for a long  trip.' The  minister chuckled, 'I know what you mean. He  said 'Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming.' ======== The  minister was preoccupied with thoughts of how he was going to ask the  congregation to come up with more money than they were expecting for repairs  to the church building. Therefore,  he was annoyed to find that the regular organist was sick and a substitute had  been brought in at the last minute. The  substitute wanted to know what to play. 'Here's  a copy of the service,' he said impatiently.   'But,  you'll have to think of something to play after I make the announcement about  the finances.'   During  the service, the minister paused and said, 'Brothers and Sisters, we are in  great difficulty; the roof repairs cost twice as much as we expected and we  need $4,000 more. Any  of you who can pledge $100 or more, please stand up.' At that moment, the  substitute organist played 'The Star Spangled Banner.' Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation!  

A daughter is telling her mother how everything is going wrong: she's failing algebra; her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely, Mom, I love your cake."

"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers. "Yuck," says her daughter.

"How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!"

"Would you like some flour then?  Or maybe baking soda?"

"Mom, those are all yucky!"

To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way.  Man y times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times.  But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

TIME FOR GOD ??         TIME FOR GOD   Read only if you have time for God Let me tell you, make sure you read all the way to the bottom. I almost deleted this email but I was blessed when I got to the end   God, when I received this e-mail, I thought... I don't have time for this... And, this is really inappropriate during work.     Then, I realized that this kind of thinking is.... Exactly, what has caused lot of the problems in our world today.     We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning...     Maybe, Sunday night...     And, the unlikely event of a midweek service.     We do like to have Him around during sickness....     And, of course, at funerals.     However, we don't have time, or room, for Him during work or play...     Because.. That's the part of our lives we think... We can, and should, handle on our own.     May God forgive me for ever thinking...     That... There is a time or place where..     HE is not to be FIRST in my life.     We should always have time to remember all HE has done for us.     If, You aren't ashamed to do this...     Please follow the directions.     Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'     Not ashamed?     Pass this on ONLY IF YOU MEAN IT!!     Yes, I do Love God.     HE is my source of existence and Savior.     He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I will be nothing. But, with Christ, HE strengthens me. (Phil 4:13)   This is the simplest test.     If You Love God...
