Things not going well? Here's a "Verse of the Day."

Not that there has to be a “Verse of the Day” every day, but I ran across this the other day and thought somebody might like it.

Habakkuk 3:17-18

17Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

18Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Sometimes “Rejoicing” and “Joy” are decisions rather than emotions.  Habakkuk is talking about a “No Matter What” kind of commitment here.  Verse 17 is full of things that are commonly used as symbols throughout the Bible, but were common in the culture of the day, and I am sure that they are meant literally this time.  By the way, this is from the King James Version, or the Original Language as I like to call it.
