TIME FOR GOD ??         TIME FOR GOD   Read only if you have time for God Let me tell you, make sure you read all the way to the bottom. I almost deleted this email but I was blessed when I got to the end   God, when I received this e-mail, I thought... I don't have time for this... And, this is really inappropriate during work.     Then, I realized that this kind of thinking is.... Exactly, what has caused lot of the problems in our world today.     We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning...     Maybe, Sunday night...     And, the unlikely event of a midweek service.     We do like to have Him around during sickness....     And, of course, at funerals.     However, we don't have time, or room, for Him during work or play...     Because.. That's the part of our lives we think... We can, and should, handle on our own.     May God forgive me for ever thinking...     That... There is a time or place where..     HE is not to be FIRST in my life.     We should always have time to remember all HE has done for us.     If, You aren't ashamed to do this...     Please follow the directions.     Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'     Not ashamed?     Pass this on ONLY IF YOU MEAN IT!!     Yes, I do Love God.     HE is my source of existence and Savior.     He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I will be nothing. But, with Christ, HE strengthens me. (Phil 4:13)   This is the simplest test.     If You Love God... And, are not ashamed of all the marvelous things HE has done for you...   Send this to ten people and the person who sent it to you!   Now do you have the time to pass it on?     Make sure that you scroll through to the end.     Easy vs. Hard     Why is it so hard to tell the truth but Yet so easy to tell a lie?     Why are we so sleepy in church but Right when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up?     Why is it so easy to delete a Godly e-mail, but yet we forward all of the nasty ones?     Of all the free gifts we may receive, Prayer is the very best one....     There are no costs, but wonderful rewards... GOD BLESS!     Notes: Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.     Isn't it funny how someone can say 'I believe in God' but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also 'believes' in God).     Isn't it funny how you can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing?   Isn't it funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them     Isn't it funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.     I pray, for everyone who sends this to their entire address book, they will be blessed by God in a way special for them.     And send it back to the person who sent it, to let them know that indeed it was sent out to many more. Thanks For Your Time and now E-mail this to EVERYONE, Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call for Support

Hello fellow Christians – we are getting closer to the time where many lives will change for employees of Texas Instruments Inc – Tucson.  Most of you will be relocating to a new facility, and many in Make will be looking to new endeavors. I would like to present a proposal of having a few lunch meetings over the course of the next month or two to share how we’re feeling and perhaps pray for the employees, friends, TI, etc.

 

I am targeting lunch meetings for September 3^rd and September 17^th – noon in LaPlace.

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door

SON: 'Daddy, May I ask you a question?
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow  some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities. ‘The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so the man had calmed down and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often.

The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 'Are you asleep, son?' He asked. 'No daddy, I’m awake,' replied the boy. 'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for. The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy! He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father. 'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled... Because I didn't have enough, but now I do, the little boy replied.  Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you. The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his son's forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.
Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love... If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
