Lynda Pasma of Colorado uses one monthly to impress TI customers. What was it that these TIers used? Perks, a set of TI benefits that you should probably learn more about. A wide range of choices TI benefits cover a range so broad that, when they first learn about them, many TIers say "I had no idea." The list includes: - Product discounts for cars, computers and appliances
- Discounted professional services
- Free health and wellness activities
- Financial programs
- Free informational resources and networks
- Company concierges
"These special benefits are really 'perks' for TIers," said Ellen Clinton, manager of Les Concierges for TI. "Our service, for example, offers TIers nationwide an opportunity to save time by letting us do the legwork on everything from finding a plumber to planning a special trip." Other perks available to all TIers include discounts on products and services. Some products have TI parts in them, and others are available at a savings just for being a TIer. "Our discounted programs offer employees a great way to save money, and some of them are provided by TI customers," said Ingrid Scroggins, who manages internal company communications and news. Ingrid's team posts stories on Infolink when new benefits debut. Her team also maintains a running list on my.ti.com under the Discount Products & Services category. Go exploring, and leave a trail The value of the offer depends on what you're looking for and how deeply you look. Some benefits give basic discounts to employees at many companies; others offer deeper discounts; still others are designed specifically to complement TI core benefits. You really need to explore it yourself and see what might apply to you. You'll want to bookmark many of the resources such as a car purchase discount, in your Web browser. You may not need it now, but you'll want to find it later. Every TIer should investigate: - YouDecide.com – This third party offers an extensive list of discounted insurance, finance and consumer products and services, mostly through online tools.
- TI Foundation Matching Gifts – You can double your money when you give to kindergarten through 12th-grade schools, higher education institutions or arts and cultural groups.
